I was eating lunch outside with all my best friends during my freshman year. We were laughing, talking, just hanging out. All of a sudden, I felt someone standing behind me, and all my friends mouths dropped. I turned, and a very creepy (what, I'd never seen a vampyre in person!) vampyre said a jumble of weird words and touched my forehead. Everyone at the table screamed and by-standers gawked. I fainted, and when I came to, my friends were worriedly standing over me. After I went to the House of Night, I realized being a fledgling might not be so bad after all. I even found I had an affinity for Water.
